Office Manager/Administrative Assistant Job Description
Centurion seeks a part-time Office Manager/Administrative Assistant to join our talented team of dedicated staff and volunteers. The ideal candidate is efficient, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, patient and skilled in developing and maintaining workplace and client relationships. This role will support general office operations and the Development Department’s event planning team. About Us
Centurion is a national non-profit (501(c)(3) organization, located in Princeton, NJ, dedicated to the vindication of the wrongly convicted. Since its founding in 1983, Centurion has freed 70 men and women who were serving life sentences for crimes they did not commit. Our dedicated team of 14 staff members and 15 volunteers represent an expert group of individuals from varying professional backgrounds.
Role Responsibilities:
Work Hours and Benefits: This is a salaried (range $20-25 per hour), part-time employment, in a traditional office setting, working three days a week from 10am – 3pm. Paid Holidays. Occasional weekends and domestic overnight trips to attend professional events may be required.

Centurion Ministries (d/b/a Centurion) is currently accepting applications for a summer intern and/or law clerk. More than one vacancy may be filled from this announcement. The deadline to apply is January 15, 2024.
The summer internship and/or clerkship is full time, with an option to extend the internship to the fall semester if desired.
About Centurion:
Centurion was formed in 1983 and became the first and only organization in the United States, at the time, devoted exclusively to freeing the innocent from wrongful imprisonment. Centurion provides free legal representation to all its clients and represents individuals across the United States and Canada. Centurion investigates claims of innocence and wrongful convictions, without any requirement that a particular type of evidence exist in a case. To date, Centurion has freed70 individuals. The Role:
Centurion’s legal team is small and collaborative. Each member of the team plays an integral role in securing a client’s freedom. The purpose of the internship is to expose the legal intern/ fellow to each stage of securing an incarcerated client’s freedom. The legal intern/clerk will receive one case to evaluate and recommend whether Centurion should take on the case, requiring them to work closely with Centurion’s case development team. In addition, the role will require the legal intern/clerk to complete research projects for its staff attorneys, assist in the preparation for hearings and depositions, and participate in investigations. Finally, travel to state facilities may be requested in order for the legal intern/ fellow to gain a better understanding of the impact of their work and the clients we serve.
Centurion attorneys also aim to fight the injustices that lead to wrongful convictions. The intern/clerk may also have the opportunity to work on amicus briefs and shadow Centurion attorneys in court.
The ideal candidate:
This is a hybrid position, requiring an intern and/or clerk to appear in the office no more than once a week. The internship would begin on June 3, 2024. We expect summer intern to make a ten-week commitment.
